REIKI ENERGY HEALING
The word Reiki was coined by Dr Mikao Usui, the modern founder of Reiki who combined two Japanese words Rei meaning "Universal" and Ki meaning "Life Force Energy". The word Reiki describes the essential nature of the energy that this Ancient Healing Technique produces. Ki describes the non-visible life force energy that exists in all living beings. Ki is called Chi in Chinese, Prana in Hindi, Light in the Bible and Bioplasmic Energy by Russian scientists. Rei refers to the Universal Nature of Ki.
In order to maintain a positive state of Health and Well-Being Reiki can assist by restoring the Life-Force energy.
Reiki boosts and balances the life force energy that is essential for all functions of our being. Reiki assists with all forms of illness and disorders whether mental, physical or emotional. Reiki not only treats the symptoms it also works at the casual level by bringing Harmony and Strength to our overall Being.
In essence, Reiki is a natural Energy-Activating method and precise way of using Light-Energy to restore and balance our own vital energy to connect with our Inner -Self our Spirit promoting Healing, Higher Consciousness and ultimately Enlightenment.

The Reiki is believed to be a prehistoric healing technique that dates back to civilizations such as Atlantis.
In recorded history evidence of Reiki can be found in Ancient Tibet, dating back some 10.000 years ago. Evidence for Reiki has also been found in Ancient India, Ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome in the West and China in the East. Knowledge of this technique is believed to have been common among Indigenous people throughout the World until the time of Western Colonization when it was lost due to Warfare.
Reiki was rediscovered by Theology Dr Mikao Usui, Japanese scholar and Christian Minister from Kyoto, Japan. During his travelings to India, he found the key to the Reiki formula in an Ancient Sutra, Book of Knowledge written in the ancient Indian language of Sanscrit, dating back some 2.500 years.
Dr Usui discovered the keys to activating and applying universal life force energy, the keys were in the form of the formula like plain mathematics. This formula is based on the series of symbols which when set into motion activate and tap Universal Energy. Later in life, Dr Usui started teaching Reiki to many students sharing his knowledge.
Below are the five Reiki principles taught by Dr Mikao Usui which are intended for greater conscious awareness and spiritual guidance.
